This March the BVC is proud to present the very first BVC MANIA racing weekend! Whether you’re an endurance rider, sprinter, junior, or just a casual Friday Night Racer, there’s something for everyone. We promise this’ll be some track racing to remember. Huge shoutout to our race director David Gerth for organizing the event!

Friday, March 14

We’re kicking off the racing weekend with Friday Night Racing like you’ve never seen before. We’ve got 3 surprise endurance races planned. There will be race announcing and DJ’ing by Jeff Kemp and Sarah Koney. Then we’ll finish off the night with podiums and celebrations

Saturday, March 15

All day sprinting split into a morning and afternoon session. At 9:00 AM we’ll start the day with flying 200m sprints to seed everyone into time-based brackets for a two-round match sprint tournament. Then in the afternoon we’ll start with a 500m match sprint which will count towards the overall sprint omnium and seeding for the Keirin tournament.

Not a sprinter? No problem! We’re stacking the podiums with awards for best overall, youth rider, woman rider, and more

Interested in Volunteering?

Like every major event we hold at the BVC, it isn’t possible without the help of volunteers. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved in doing something to help out at the track and have extra time between March 14-16 then please contact our amazing race director David Gerth.

You can let him know via email ([email protected]), Facebook, Instagram (@eurotune), carrier pigeon, or just write your name and availability on his arm at the Wednesday night workout.

We our incredibly grateful to be able to welcome competitors, their families, friends and our community to the Burnaby Velodrome located on the ancestral and unceded homelands of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh peoples. To learn more about regional Indigenous territorial acknowledgments check out the following City of Burnaby publication. We are honoured for this privilege to be here.
